it occurs to me just now that.. indeed more than physical beauty, what matters most for two persons to fall in love, and remain in love, is their compatibility when it comes to the things unseen. the way they appreciate the beauty of those abstract entities. the way they could laugh together, and shed tears together. and when you find someone like that.. even if you can't find the red thread that connects the two soul, i think you are still very lucky. i think i am very lucky

When I think about my friends.. When I think about the one I like.. There's something important that's always just out of sight.. Is there really anything out there I can count on? ******* Another sad quote if you watch the movie. Maybe because I am a guy, it is one of those feeling that I don't normally have. So Hikari, you want the quotes to come up fast, or slowly? ^^

Akai Ito #6

There's so much I want to tell you, There's so much I want to hear. But if after learning everything, our love breaks... Then I'd rather be as I am now. ****** Actually, this is probably a pretty sad quote. It's just that.. I had never taken that path before. I had always taken the path of telling everything, and end up burning whatever little bridge that could have brought us together.

You can't put your true feeling into words, I can't express my important feeling. If the two of us could exchange the feeling in our heart, would we see.. Would we see that destiny was on our side? ***** to the anonymous friend who ask for the remaining quotes of Akai Ito.. well honestly the remaining episodes don't have too meaningful quotes (to me, personally). either that or sometimes the quote would only make sense if someone watch the movie. but since i have started it.. maybe it's not a bad idea to finish it. after all.. the last episode's quote is quite sweet.

the analytics

heh google analytic turns out to be quite a fun stuff to have. i have had it on my blog for a week. though i have neither the ambition nor the attractiveness to increase my blog's visitor rate, but it is fun to look at the statistics, like.. knowing that the no. 3 highest visiting country is France. i am really not sure how i got someone from France end up at my blog.. since i don't really mention anything french here. And they spend average of more than 2 minutes on the site (more than those from Singapore). then.. the most popular entry for the last one week (apart from the main page) is the one on Kungfu Dunk's OST. Oh well.. Jay Chou seems to be the main attraction -_- I got visitors from 21 countries including South Korea, Estonia and Russia (I must have mentioned Arshavin).. but I have zero from Japan ^^

boys season

base on their performances so far, it is quite obvious that the top four of this season's idol can easily be all boys. matt, danny, adam, and kris (his sis looks prettier lately, and i am glad the camera knows that!). with a lil bit of luck, anoop would probably be the fifth and they can go and form a boys band. i think they will make it big. ^^ adam wasn't outstanding with his falsetto last night but in my personal opinion, he is a notch above danny because with adam, you have this curiosity, asking 'what's next?' he is ever willing to throw away everything that made him looked good the week before and try something that is completely new. i feel sorry for michael who is out of depth, but am proud of his comments. you are indeed blessed, big bro.

batch 5 has broken the curses

we used to joke that our batch 5 are cursed with singlehood. but it appears that the 'curses' has lost its power now. this is only march and we already have like.. 3 of us got married? and some of them are quite unexpected. this is beside the other who got married last or last last year. the rest.. many also has gotten into relationship. wonderful. congratulation guys!

The Monk and the Riddle #3

I remember iwan, my nus friend, used to take entrepreneurship courses at nus. we worked on some business plan and we almost worked on a startup company together with darvin. one of the most important things in the business plan, as most entrepreneurship courses would tell you, was: the exit strategy. the aim was to get investors to invest in our startup, make the company big in the shortest time possible, and then exit by selling it off at good price, or if you hit jackpot, you go public- the home run dream of many startups. another concept that was mentioned in the book. again.. nothing wrong with that plan. everyone wants to be rich. but to make the exit strategy our goal, is to say that we are not really passionate about the business plan. we are only passionate about the money it will bring. the point here is not to forbid anyone from making the get rich business plan. the point is that.. there is other option. "if you could instead work on a business plan, doing stuff that re...

Triangle

the name of eguchi yosuke persuaded me to try watching this suspense drama. the first two episodes are confusing, intriguing. eguchi yosuke, for those old enough to have watched tokyo love story, is the freaky long hair playboy in the legendary drama. i used to love watching him but in Triangle, the 42 years old looked out of place.. somewhat unconvincing and at times irritating. i have never been a fan of ryoko hirosue. so i can't say much. but overall i haven't found any character to like or root for in this series. despite its unconvincing cast selection, i decide to watch on as the story has potential to be interesting. a good suspense plot.

The Monk and the Riddle #2

I have tried several different jobs, and I observed people, and come to conclusion: Whatever path you take in life, whatever job you choose.. if you want to be successful, it will never be easy. That includes serving God. And this is why we need to recognize where our passion lies. Many times.. we are confused between ' drive ' and ' passion '. Drive.. is the power that PUSH you to fulfill what you need to do. Passion.. on the other hand, is the power that PULL you to something you can't resist. You wake up in the morning for work, you have sales target to meet, deadline to met. You may not be too happy with your work but you are raring to go. You tell yourself, "think about the holiday, think about the year end bonus, think about the promotion". And when all else fails, you tell yourself, "in whatever you do, do as if it is for God." that is drive. Make no mistake, drive can and will bring us success. Drive emphasize on the goal. The goal outwei...

ayaka x kobukuro

caught this clip in vivy's blog. i love the song, the melancholic twist and the color of their voices. and .. here is 366 nichi, the OST to the dorama 'akai ito'. the song does sound like some other songs. And i am in love with Nao chan.. who in a way bear resemblance with Noriko Sakai, which mean, i have consistent taste for the last 14 years.

Akai Ito - Completed

This song has nothing to do with the drama Akai Ito that I just watched. But this song is here because vy mentioned it, and there is Aragaki Yui ^^ Oh well the first part by Kobukuro is really good but her part is.. sigh.. let's just say that I prefer her talking rather than singing (just like Alexis grace). The drama Akai Ito is a different stuff altogether. it is based on a hit mobile phone novel and just like 'Change', it is one of those drama that got me hooked. Not a very original story, but engaging. Simple, but sweet. Sad, but sweet. There is drug addiction, suicide attempts, and violence date there but.. not as painful as Last Friends.. so i can bear to finish it. and just like many good ol j-dorama *spoiler alert* it ends with many warm afternoon scenes, and happily ever after couples.

Nao Minamisawa

Ada yg aneh dgn muka dia.. tapi.. gua suka ^^

Mengapa Begini? Mengapa Begitu?

Ahaa... salah satu misteri yang gua kurang paham, terpecahkan hari ini. Apa beda lamb and mutton? Meat from young sheep, not more than 1 year old, is called lamb. Meat from older sheep, nahh.. that's called mutton. tralalaa... trililiii!! *i want my good ol cute agnes monica back*

Kiseki Desu ne

our path has grown further apart. and i can't afford wanting you. neither am i trapped in the past. because as i said many times.. we don't even have a past. but you see.. it just becomes clearer, and clearer each day, that to be so much in love, with you and your every breath it was more than just a consequence of any ordinary encounter. it was a destiny in itself. it was a miracle..

The Monk and the Riddle #1

I am currently reading this book that I have been aiming to read for the last 1 year. Here is the summary of what I've read so far (some words are my own opinion): Many people try to live their life in two stages: 1. Do what I need to do , and when I successfully complete the first stage, I could 2. Do what I WANT to do . many of us believe that our first aim is to achieve the holy grail, that is the financial freedom . and in order to achieve that, we will have to do what we need to do, even if it is not what we want to do. that's the goal of the 1st stage. be it climbing up the corporate ladder, or joining the brigade of high-flying bankers, or like me.. becoming a property agent hoping to close some huge deals in 3-5 years and achieve that holy grail. now.. nothing wrong with that plan. it is reasonable and logical. but as you know.. many times things don't happen the way we like it in life. ask yourself this question: what if i never get pass the 1st stage? i am sure ma...

What is the boundary between being friends and being lovers? perhaps you'd only figure that out once you've crossed it. Akai Ito #2- The Chocolate that Heals Loneliness
