Assasionation Principle Lesson no 1

'the person is the reward'.

that is not a quote from somewhere.
this I said one. (in Singlish tone)

Well.. after contemplating between a few options, I think this principle should be the first one.
In fact it should probably be lesson no 0.

Do you realise that assassination does not demand spotlight in its execution?
In fact, diversion is created so that the assassin can be out of spotlight.

And upon execution, the assassin does not even think about the monetary reward.
She can't afford to.
She only can focus on one thing. And that is the person she intends to kill.
That person is the one and the all.

No spotlight, no recognition, no carrot.
The only thing that matters is the person.

I find that whenever I am in the process of clinching a deal,
or when I am helping a client..
the same principle applies.

I can't afford to let myself be distracted by stuff.
Be it the monetary reward, or the risk of failure,
or the unethical agent that I have to deal with..
or what anyone else think for that matter.

the person is the reward.
the person is the only thing that matters.

And so it is too with my pursuit of destiny in life.
Well.. I have no idea yet what God has in mind.
That glorious picture that is meant to appear when all these dots connect.
But I do know one thing.

The Person is the Reward.
Jesus is all that matters.
Not the reward, not the spotlight, not the recognition or approval.
It's all about the Person.

Father

I am reading the book "Wild at Heart". One of the most striking points that the author made was that of how many, if not almost all, men are most severely wounded by their own father. You would have thought that your dad will be the one who believes in you when everyone else is doubting you. You expect him to do so. Coz when he does, you know that it ain't matter even if the rest are against you. So when it turns out that he is siding with those who doubt you. It hurts the most. It kills off your hope. It strips you off your courage and belief to be a real man. Because the man who is suppose to show you how to be a real man, the one whose approval matters the most.. does not side with you. He loves you.. yes. But a father's role is not simply to love and nurture. He is more than just that. He is your assurance, stronghold, strength. He leads you into adventure, he fights with you side by side, he shows you how to rescue a beauty. When your father of flesh and blood ca...
