today i was reading this
(sorry it happened to be citi, no offense to bombie hehe. anyway it happens everywhere nowadays)
and the money involved here is peanuts compares to Lehmann bros case, or other more high profile cases.
some of my friends know that i have recently been involved with a 'gold trading' company which many believe to be another scam or ponzy scheme, which reminds us of Madoff.
maybe because for my family, such 'investment scheme' is not the first one we have been involved with.. and a return of 25% p.a. is not something new to us.. so i decided to jump on the bandwagon anyway.
yes it may run away one day.. yes it may be a scam... so.. let's not be greedy and pray. that's all.
i mean.. if even banks like dbs could be accused of misrepresenting the risk of lehmann bonds to their clients.. what then should we do? call dbs and all the other banks' products 'potential fraud'?
can't be right?
you don't pull out from a bank just because there is news that one of the relationship manager was involved in fraud case.. do you?
and doctor.. are they really trustworthy nowadays?
what about govt? don't get started with this one (esp if we are talking about indonesia).
oh and if you read news about a lawyer who was cheated $800k SGD by a 'Christian brother' whom her 'Christian colleague' introduce to... awesome!
geez.. quite a bleak picture there.
but anyway.. my point is.. we are living in a unique time.
we need to pray for God's discernment, friends..
