Bleah.. after forcing myself to watch a korean drama i wasn't really interested in, for the sake of surviving these few days you see, I have found out that I am very simplistic when it comes to what I define as being pretty.. cos.. all those actresses that I like to watch, well most of them, seem to look rather similar in the end =( round face, round eyes, well.. and why the heck do I get to see many korean with such features?! this kim tae-hee who play in the movie i'm watching.. doesn't she look like chae rim? and hye gyo sometimes? and yeah... i also think tae-hee is pretty =( btw this girl admitted that she was nicknamed 'senseless lady' by her friends.. why do pretty girls have to be senseless most of the times? Few movies give lasting impression, but Battle Royale is one of them. Not many can appreciate that movie though, some found it simply gross. I find it very human. All the pretention, all the betrayal, all the broken promises. As the story goes, once every year, a class of high school students is chosen, by force, to take part in battle royale. They are sent into an island, each got a metal bracelet put on their neck. They have to kill each other until there is one person left. There is a time limit, I think 72 hours. If they fail to get one winner, the bracelets will all explode and they will all die. the previous year battle royale winner So you get to see a couple who decided to suicide together early on as they couldn't stand this battle. Iot is a big fan of the anime Eyeshield 21, which story revolves around american football, with the main character being a 15 years old boy who can run ridiculously fast. As long as he could remember, he was always the little coward who got bullied by his peers everyday. He would always need protection from his good friend, Mamori nee-chan, who acts like his guardian sister. The name Mamori, I believe, was taken from the word Mamoru- to protect. When Mamori nee-chan wasn't around, he would run as fast as he could from these people who tried to bully him. Without him knowing, his pathetic experience shaped him into a great runner. In short, he was given the 'running back' position where he was trusted to run with the ball as fast as he could, avoid all the opposition players and score touch down. Simple as that. i wasn't around the comp yesterday n returning only to find a mail thread on 'how guyz should treat galz in a gentleman way', discussed by my FA mates. i want to learn harder in 2006 not to say it out, not to get involved in argumentation, whenever possible. so i didn't participate. so i think.. let each have their own opinion. no need to try convincing whoever else, life will teach us the ultimate lesson. as for me.. i'd just say what i think to this blog. there was one very funny part in the thread, the galz say 'guyz should offer to help the galz when they r bringing stuff. but not handbag.. that was stupid for guy to bring the girl's handbag'. i think, handbag is just stuff. why the discrimination? coz guyz look lame carrying girl's handbag? if that public image is the problem, then probably the guys would offer to carry other stuff for the sake of public image too, not bcoz they care. well they do care probably; they care about their own image.

Following BOA's path, another Korean girl emerged. Having learned Japanese from watching j-dorama, she tried her luck in J-pop market and has so far gained quite a number of admirers. I haven't listened to j-pop for quite a while and I only came to know her as she sang the ending song of Bleach, entitled Houki Boshi (Comet). Watched Bleach 1-62 in three days. Impressive, huh? I never knew the anime was SO GOOD.. A year ago I tried to watch it when Bleach episode 2 was out, decided that it was not gud enough. A year later every body kept telling me to watch it and I gave in. What a great anime with lotsa interesting characters, and some twists, and inspiring typical hot-headed-yet-ridiculously-spirited-hero as the main character. As usual I don't make main character my fave, so my fave is the 10th division captain, Hitsugaya Toushiro.. Level headed yet full of emotion. Cool kid. Well, good anime will still be there no matter how long it takes for you to appreciate it.. a person may not be. Anyway.. 2005 is over. I started it off full of optimism. But there has been many failures there. Though there are some great breakthrough. Nothing to regret for. A bit of laughters, some tears, we walk on, juz like my crashed harddisk. The day it crashed, I was so devastated, thinking of all the files inside, many we
