Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
Everything else is secondary.
- Steve Jobs
The first twenty years of our lives was honeymoon, generally speaking.
Some people had their honeymoon cut short because of financial reason.
But many of us had the opportunity to go to college or uni.
I myself had 23 years of honeymoon. Well, almost 24 if you include my 10 months stay inside my mum's tummy.
The moment we graduate, suddenly we have countless options, and a new sense of responsibility.
I think 9 out of 10 fresh grads that I meet will tell me at least one of these things
- I am not ready
- I don't know what to do next
- I don't know what I want to do in life
or..
- I guess I will just apply as (insert the profession), what else can I do?
The simple truth is,
We all have options, though not all of us have option of being 'not ready'.
And deep down, we always know what we want to become.
It's the doubt, and fear of losing or risking something, that stop us from following our heart and intuition.
The noise outside is often against the voice inside.
So if you always go by 'majority vote', it's unlikely you'll ever follow your heart.
So.. do consider uncle Steve's words.
This life is too short for us to live somebody else' life.
And remember this simple truth,
Deep down.. you already know what you truly want to become. Period.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
Everything else is secondary.
