The Difference

Lani asked me.. why did you join the ministry?

It reminds me of the time when I was like.. 13/14 yrs old?
I would attend the youth service at my mum's church.
I would steal a glance now and then at Pauline, the sweet keyboardist there. Oh.. that's not the point.

Well.. I would come on time and leave on time.
I wasn't interested to stay for a chat, let alone ministry.
The church workers there would always try to talk to me and make me join their activities. But I would always have excuses.

So much like some of the youth we are trying to invite to our cellgroups.

And now? I am no longer teenager and here I am, serving in youth ministry, joining these group of activists I used to avoid when I was a teenager myself.

I can't really remember why I changed.
But I am glad I did.
Because only then did I realise..
Only when you start serving that you truly know what it means to be a Christian.

And only then did I understand..
that we Christians are not always better or kinder people.
Whether you are a pastor or worship leader or cell leader.

We also make mistake, we make blunders, we also have enemies.
The difference is only that..
We got Him.
and we are forgiven.

Good things

Good things happen recently ^^ Not so much for me though lol. Well, my NUS fren got engaged last week. She has been with her boyfriend for quite a while. Both are genius.. congratz2... Then yesterday was the most shocking one... coz I always thought all was just jokes.. congratz to the two FA frens of me. Surely love works in the most unpredictable ways. Of course the previous couple from FA was also shocking to me for different reason haha. Anyway, glad to see them happy. I dunno if Friday's dinner is gonna be good thing but I know that this is really going nowhere. Sigh.. so it seems that we are going nowhere while the others have moved on. Anyway, was having a great FA session last night. Eve shared on how God used her the night before to help cast out demons for her friend. So she was sleeping over her friend's house, they were chatting till almost 3 AM and then the topic became serious and her friend wanted to be set free from the devil spirit inside her.
