I walked to the usual CHC service hall this morning,
the smart me didn't bother to drop wibi any sms.
i thought he could have gone to the Sat service and I didn't want to trouble him.
But there I was.. alone.. gasping in amazement..
CHC seemed to have vanished into thin air.
No CHC, not a single sign of their existence.
And the fear of stupidity struck.
When I was on my way there, I did wonder if they even had service today.
But i thought.. oh well.. what's the chance of that happening?
Well.. it 'happened'.
SmS wibi.. no reply.
So I had to choose.. 'guai guai' return to hyatt.
OR.. walk into FCBC service next door. (Yeah.. they don't vanish together, thankfully).
Oh well.. heck care.. I thought. I am here anyway.
So here's my first.. first attending FCBC service.
My chronological observation on my first visit (hoho just casual remark ya, peacee wid, john^^ ):
1. 1st song- Let Everything That Has Breath. (Wah.. quite oldie hor)
2. 2nd song- The time has come. (Oh.. okay.. this one newer)
3. The worship leader (Woot.. this uncle got Hittler mustache, with shiny jacket, and 70s hair parting.. topped with Pak Welyar's kind of voice.. quite unique and nowhere near my expectation)
4. 3rd song- this is when I felt that FCBC is closer to our home church. it's a song about how much we love God. they had all CHC's technology, but they were pretty much into the worship style that we have. Was blessed by their worship.
5. 10 minutes into Pastor Lawrence Khong's sermon. (still fighting my sleepiness)
6. 20 minutes. I started to write note. (This guy is GOOD.. maybe not as captivating as the other Kong, but is equally authoritative and powerful in his preaching)
7. Overall (Hm.. this church has good feel about it. looks more like trans-generation family church with a lot of elderly, middle-aged people, and a decent mix of young people).
been a blessing visit.. heh. thank you FCBC =)
