true assassination usually involves a hunter and a superior prey.
and thus it involves intent, intelligence, and strategy.
if you carry a gun to a school and start shooting at weaponless students, that is not an assassination.
that is plain massacre.
but if you devise a plan to kill a U.S. president while he is watching a play inside a theater, that is probably an assassination.
well.. not that I intend to kill someone.
but as far as 'killing' is concerned, we are dealt with various situations where we need to make a killing, so to speak.
and our target could often be superior to us.
in fact, if we find ourselves dealing with inferior opponents most of the times,
it probably means we have been living in our comfort zone for too long.
the assassination classroom manga often use exams as metaphor.
in a way students need to devise study plan and even tactic in solving questions to make a killing in their exams.
in our adult lives, instead of exams we face things like job interviews, deal negotiations, various types of jerks and difficult people. the impossible people.
Oh and last but not least.. all sort of relationship issues.
assassination skill is thus crucial.
To learn the way of turning our weakness into strength.
to read the situation and have good sense of timing.
and before all those, to have strong resolve and intent.
In his book David & Goliath, Malcolm Gladwell pondered on how the two's battle shows that the world's idea of weak and strong may not necessarily be correct.
I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
- Ecclesiastes 9:11
for many of us, China's govt control of internet content is an inconvenience.
and China people's poor command of English would have been considered a weakness in today's economy.
but one English teacher took full advantage of both facts and made a killing in China's e-commerce industry.
The world is fascinating really.
I am learning this assassination art now.
hope to record few entries on this along the way.
