i thought it was a typical disney message really.

but come to think of it..
kindness is profound. really.

it's certainly more than just about how you do random act of kindness towards strangers.

well that's good too.
but kindness is much more basic and yet more challenging than that.
kindness is much 'closer to home' than that.

kindness is about how you treat the most annoying members of your family.
and that mother or father who drives you mad somehow after every one minute of conversation.
or those irritating siblings you swear could not possibly have shared the same genes with you.

it is about how you handle betrayal by your closest friends.
and how you react towards those bitches and jerks around you.

it is about how you treat people who are inferior to you in your circle.
most annoyingly, it is about how you treat people who don't bloody deserve it!

when nobody sees and nobody cares.
and in a situation and towards whom you can truly be yourself without restraint.
that's when our kindness shown or otherwise.

I suppose kindness flows out from a truly humble heart.
and that's why I find it to be challenging.

but here's the thing.
be kind anyway.

and here's the question.
why?
