Java Returns

"Studying" is something I have not done for God knows how long. But yeah.. last weekend, I decided to read up a bit on Java which I have not touched for almost 2 years. Goshh.. already I can feel some improvement in my life quality LOL =D Well.. this brain needs torturing. It has been hibernating for too long. And these muscles too.. need some torturing. GYM.. that's the word. Yes yes.. we shall see into it.

On movie front.. watched WTC which lasting impression was the scene when Jesus made the appearance with a bottle of mineral water. The unexpectedly good movie, in my opinion, was Rob-B-hood. Very jacky chan! Much much better than "the Banquet" =P Oh and one movie I am interested in at the moment is "Severance".. it's about an office's team building outing which turned into a bloody survival game. Eastern Europe setting.. hmm a bit like "Hostel" I would say.

I had free dinner yesterday! I must really mark down 8 October 2006 as the day when I was first treated by someone I don't know heh. Hm its a long story but anyway, Eka, the kind soul who treated us, was my FA mate's friend. There was me, Dian, Alfons, MK.. we were all working adults and was treated by this teenage girl whose name we didn't even know. So paiseh.. =P

And this morning! Oh the ups and downs of life..

Was going for an interview with IBM at Kaki Bukit area. IBM sounded good, but Kaki Bukit always gave me that uncomfortable feeling. It was such a barren industrial area that I just can't imagine myself liking it. And so it proved. I was lost, couldn't find the building, and had to walk a great distance to finally reach the place. All sweaty.

Only to find out that the interview was cancelled -_- How amazing was that. The IBM side made the cancellation on Friday evening I think.. and the agent failed to notify me. So there I was. Well.. I think it's a blessing in disguise that I didn't have an interview because I don't think I will like the job anyway, and the location!

journal: a little update

wow I am actually back to this blog. between Apr 27 2018 and now.. what has happened? I officially proposed to my girlfriend (wah.. trust me you gonna miss that word), got married, and.. became a dad. yeah.. all in a matter of less than 2 years. now when you consider the fact that in 2015 I would not have the slightest idea how things would turn out, it just goes to show how life changes in a blink. How is married life? Well.. I am one of those who has pretty pragmatic view when it comes to marriage. I have seen enough to know that relationship is messy. So.. I must say marriage has been way way better than my expectation hah.. For example.. I knew that my wife is a smart woman. I knew some of her shortcoming too.. (and there are some I didn't know till we got married, of course) BUT... here's the big bonus. I didn't know she can be that adorably funny in her own way. Not funny like a standup comedian funny but.. you know.. she makes me laugh. Trust me.

Hmm..

si mahasiswa NTU yg bunuh diri itu denger2 namanya david. sigh.. mgkn final year presssure was too much to him. jadi inget masa2 kerjain final year project, tinggal 3 bulan dan gua maseh blank. untung ngga masuk berita ky dia. life is a funny thing. well since there is a chance that this may not be a simple suicide, lets not assume so. maybe there's a truth behind this. duh.. jd inget kalo di conan trus dia bilank, "ini bukan bunuh diri.. ini adalah kasus pembunuhan!" jadi serasa mao jadi detektip -_-
