another ordinary day

has passed.

and the world rotate, revolve, as always.
whether a man spend this day with fine meals and good sleep,
or in hunger and fear..
or in anger and tear..

the day still passed all the same, not a sec faster, or slower.

three scenes in my mind.

the first is..

of the little girl that inspired my first 'untitled' story.
the little girl who could probably call herself my first love.
the only girl i exchange letter with almost every day.
the only time i felt in love the way a teenager would.

twelve years ago, and today...
the similarity is ironic.

the first time we met, she just broke up, and there i was.
today, she just broke up, and here i am.

but we have read the last page long time ago.

the second is..

of the woman whom i saw tonite.
a man was pulling his suitcase, while barking at the woman.
while she argued back, in that weary and angry voice.
she tried to be strong but her voice was shaky.
the man.. who knows what he is thinking?

she said, " just go... just go!!"
in anger.
but maybe deep inside..she had wanted to say
"please return to me, i will forgive you"

the man would continue to blame her,
while walking away.
the man.. who knows what he is thinking?

i can still remember vividly that scene.
it was so heart-piercing.

if only you know how it feels to be their child.

and the third..

is of my cousin.

she was pregnant, her second child.
i still saw her last month, happily.
few days ago.. she lost the child.

three months old,
it had head, arms, and legs.
gone.

so she brought the 'baby' home.
washed it clean,
buried it inside a vase,
and planted flower there.

i am not someone who easily feel for others.
but to picture how my cousin brought the baby home,
how she lovingly washed it clean,
and painfully buried it.

it's simply.. unbearable.

Hmm..

si mahasiswa NTU yg bunuh diri itu denger2 namanya david. sigh.. mgkn final year presssure was too much to him. jadi inget masa2 kerjain final year project, tinggal 3 bulan dan gua maseh blank. untung ngga masuk berita ky dia. life is a funny thing. well since there is a chance that this may not be a simple suicide, lets not assume so. maybe there's a truth behind this. duh.. jd inget kalo di conan trus dia bilank, "ini bukan bunuh diri.. ini adalah kasus pembunuhan!" jadi serasa mao jadi detektip -_-

Father

I am reading the book "Wild at Heart". One of the most striking points that the author made was that of how many, if not almost all, men are most severely wounded by their own father. You would have thought that your dad will be the one who believes in you when everyone else is doubting you. You expect him to do so. Coz when he does, you know that it ain't matter even if the rest are against you. So when it turns out that he is siding with those who doubt you. It hurts the most. It kills off your hope. It strips you off your courage and belief to be a real man. Because the man who is suppose to show you how to be a real man, the one whose approval matters the most.. does not side with you. He loves you.. yes. But a father's role is not simply to love and nurture. He is more than just that. He is your assurance, stronghold, strength. He leads you into adventure, he fights with you side by side, he shows you how to rescue a beauty. When your father of flesh and blood ca...
