Last Piece of Rika =P

I too have grown disillusioned about all this romantic stuff, for it does not equal happiness. I too have grown to understand that there is a limit even for the most sacred love between humans. I too have found myself faced with more questions than answers everytime I see a marriage.

But how else can I paint the story? For I can't imagine myself loving a plain black and white story, as beautiful as it is. I would rather a colorful story, regardless the color. So yeah, I will choose to be naive, believing that I will be among the few who are blessed with such colorful story. Maybe you should cosider that too, Vy =P

To Anonym., yup2.. I agree that in Kanchi's eyes, the fragile Satomi needed him more. But I think what Satomi needed was not Kanchi in particular. She needed someone who would love and care for her the way Kanchi did. And probably anyone with such compassion for her would do. Haha maybe I was biased but that was what I felt as I watched the drama. Rika, on the other hand, loved and wanted Kanchi and nothing else.

Kanchi said that he found it hard to carry the burden of Rika's overwhelming affection. Some people may find that reason silly but really.. it was so true.

I am not sure if Kanchi was not happy with Satomi. But I do agree that he was much livelier with Rika. Rika was the more challenging ride. She simply brough out that life in him and with that, insecurity. Choosing Satomi, Kanchi simply traded that liveliness for a secure and peaceful relationship. Haha.. me and my crap theories.. ^^

Anyway, glad that it brings back some meories to you all. Glad that you enjoyed the drama as much as I did.

It's been nice reading your comments on TLS and being able to trade views with you :) I'm sure no matter what, kanchi and Rika both made their choice in the end and they'll have to stick by it and live everyday happily. Just wondering how it would be like to get Honami Suzuki(Rika) and Oda Yuji(Kanchi) together to watch TLS 15 years later..I'm sure they'll feel very different about it. Perhaps i'll watch this show many years later and feel very different too! It's a real classic.
Nice sharing with you:) Thanks!

I actually didn't follow TLS... *hides* huehue, so kaypo yah, still joining in the discussion...

The disillusioned thing, hm yeah, you know I still very much love to read manga with all their drama too. =D Maybe it's just the gap that I see between those and my real life... *ponders if "real life" in Japanese would be much more colorful*
i guess maybe its a worth trade of for kanchi to have a peaceful life..
doesn't everybody dream of that too?
just lead a simple peaceful life.
the presence of romantic love is just an optional thingy in life

si mahasiswa NTU yg bunuh diri itu denger2 namanya david. sigh.. mgkn final year presssure was too much to him. jadi inget masa2 kerjain final year project, tinggal 3 bulan dan gua maseh blank. untung ngga masuk berita ky dia. life is a funny thing. well since there is a chance that this may not be a simple suicide, lets not assume so. maybe there's a truth behind this. duh.. jd inget kalo di conan trus dia bilank, "ini bukan bunuh diri.. ini adalah kasus pembunuhan!" jadi serasa mao jadi detektip -_-

Father

I am reading the book "Wild at Heart". One of the most striking points that the author made was that of how many, if not almost all, men are most severely wounded by their own father. You would have thought that your dad will be the one who believes in you when everyone else is doubting you. You expect him to do so. Coz when he does, you know that it ain't matter even if the rest are against you. So when it turns out that he is siding with those who doubt you. It hurts the most. It kills off your hope. It strips you off your courage and belief to be a real man. Because the man who is suppose to show you how to be a real man, the one whose approval matters the most.. does not side with you. He loves you.. yes. But a father's role is not simply to love and nurture. He is more than just that. He is your assurance, stronghold, strength. He leads you into adventure, he fights with you side by side, he shows you how to rescue a beauty. When your father of flesh and blood ca...
